Scary Good

Andrew Sullivan’s blog directed me to this site, which gave this analysis of my own blog:

INTP – The Thinkers

The logical and analytical type. They are especialy attuned to difficult creative and intellectual challenges and always look for something more complex to dig into. They are great at finding subtle connections between things and imagine far-reaching implications.

They enjoy working with complex things using a lot of concepts and imaginative models of reality. Since they are not very good at seeing and understanding the needs of other people, they might come across as arrogant, impatient and insensitive to people that need some time to understand what they are talking about.

And it did it for free! Impressive!

I'm a composer and musician, and I write about music—I do that here, for the New York Classical Review, at the Brooklyn Rail (I edit the music section there) and any place else that will have me, like New Music Box and Music & Literature. I also wrote the Miles Davis' Bitches Brew book in the 33 1/3 series.

  • Huh, my blog is ESFP – The Performers. That’s really odd since I’m consistently INTJ.

  • It thought my blog was in Esperanto, but my practicing manifesto is an ISTP. Today I’m a ENFP.
