Tech Support Tales

To my readers, especially the professional ones, waiting for reviews, articles, etc., an apology and an explanation.  For the last two weeks or so I’ve been working on getting past a pernicious technical obstacle, drilling down through system hangs, disk I/O errors, Firewire Bus resets, mdworker crashes and the like.  At the moment, I’m confident I’ve found the root cause and have a solution in process, so expect the usual pace to resume within the next 48 hours.  In the meantime, amuse yourself with a back issue of something I used to subscribe to, in the good old days.
