Music The Classical Tradition

Electronic Intimacy

“I believe very strongly that music is the groanings of the spirit. To me God is always listening. There’s always going to be an audience for the receiving.”

Now up at VAN, an oral history of Miller Theatre’s quarantined Bach concert, with Simone Dinnerstein and others. This came out of interviews this past weekend with Alecia Lawyer, oboist and founder and director of ROCO, and Miller’s executive director Melissa Smey. Thanks to both for taking the time to talk with me.

For more background on this concert, see this post.
